Introduction
Fivo Docs is an advanced document managment plugin that helps you showcase your documents beatifully. It's extremely easy to use.
Downloading from CodeCanyon and unziping it, you will find the following files:
- fivo-docs.zip - actual plugin
- changelog.html - plugin changelog
- documentation - plugin documentation
If there is something that isn't in the documentation or isn't clear to you please open a support ticket.
Categories
Fivo Docs adds a category option for the media. It works just like the categories for the blog posts. You can create parent and child categories.
To add a media into a category you will need to go the the Library.
If you are in the grid layout then when you click the item a popup will open with the media info.
You will need to click the "Edit more details".
If you are in the list layout then hovering the list item you will see the "Edit" link.
After that you will get to the media item page where you can select categories or add new ones.
Order Categories
To order categories you will need to install a new plugin called Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order
Under Media there is now a new option "Taxonomy Order". You can drag and drop categories to order them.
Custom Selection
Custom selection allows you to select and show documents individually on any page independent of the category.
It's available for Gutenberg, Elementor and Shortcode and they work the same. In the below example we will show how it looks in Gutenberg block.
When you insert new block/widget/shortcode into page you can switch Type to "Custom Selection" that allows you to organize your docs only for this block.
These categories and docs organization is available then only for this specific block and it's not saved in the general categories.
The document selection works just as a gallery works where you can add to selection and edit that selection.
Additional Options
There are additional options that you can select to customize the look of the grid and list table.
Filters & Pagination
There are 4 different options for filtering that you can choose what to display or disable all of them. Pagination is available only for "List Table" style.

Fivo Docs has a custom block that you can insert into pages.
Elementor Widget
Fivo Docs has a custom Elementor widget that you can insert into pages.
Shorcode
If you are using the classic editor you can still use Fivo Docs as a shortcode. We have added a button "Add Docs" that when you click you get a Shortcode Generator popup.
When you are done with the customization you can copy the shortcode or click "Insert Shortcode".
